This Privacy Policy explains how Kyndr Stay (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our website, dashboard, guest guides, and AI concierge services (the “Services”). Kyndr Stay is operated by an Australian sole trader and is available to users worldwide.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to:
- Hosts – people who create an account and manage properties, guides, and subscriptions.
- Guests – people who access a guide or AI concierge via a public link or QR code.
Guests do not need to create an account to use Kyndr Stay.
2. Information we collect
A. Host information
When a host creates and uses an account, we may collect and store:
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, profile photo, business name, ABN (if provided).
- Authentication data: Google OAuth identifiers and metadata.
- Property information: property name, address, type, images, and settings.
- Guide content: check-in instructions, WiFi details, rules, appliance instructions, emergency contacts, and other content entered by the host.
- Subscription and billing data: plan type, subscription status, and Stripe customer/subscription IDs. We do not store full payment card details. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- Usage data: AI usage counters and feature usage for plan enforcement and service improvement.
B. Guest information
Guests do not create accounts. We only collect the minimum information needed to operate the Services:
- Anonymous access tokens and session cookies used to authorise access to a property guide or AI concierge.
- Concierge session data such as an anonymous session ID, property reference, optional chat messages (only if enabled), timestamps, and rate-limit counters.
We do not require or collect guest names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment details. If a guest voluntarily enters personal information into the chat, it is provided at their own discretion.
C. Analytics and tracking
We do not run third-party analytics or session recording tools in the guest experience.
Basic technical logs may be generated for security, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Services
- Render property guides and AI concierge responses
- Manage subscriptions and billing
- Enforce plan limits and prevent abuse
- Improve product performance and reliability
- Communicate with hosts about their account or service updates
4. AI concierge data
- The AI concierge responds using information provided by the host in their guide and settings.
- AI responses are generated dynamically.
- Chat messages may be temporarily stored to maintain session continuity or enforce rate limits.
- We do not use guest chat data to build guest profiles.
- AI responses are informational only. See the Terms of Service for important disclaimers.
5. Offline access and local storage
- Kyndr Stay supports offline access using browser storage and service workers.
- Only non-personal guide content is cached locally on the guest’s device.
- Offline data is not synced back to our servers.
6. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only:
- With service providers (e.g., Stripe, hosting) strictly as needed to operate the Services
- If required by law or legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, or security of users or the platform
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including secure authentication, encryption, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data retention
- Host data is retained while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward.
- Guest session data is retained only as long as necessary for service operation and abuse prevention.
- Hosts may delete properties or content at any time via the dashboard.
9. International users
Your information may be processed in Australia or other jurisdictions where our infrastructure or service providers operate. By using the Services, you consent to this processing.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access your personal information
- Request correction or deletion
- Withdraw consent (where applicable)
Hosts can manage most data directly through the dashboard.
11. Children
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
